Web Developer – Cork (Part Time)
Hopkins Communications, the advertising, design and public relations agency, require an experienced Web Developer to further expand, develop, test, deliver and maintain client websites to the highest standards.
Websites will include static XHTML and CSS based sites, dynamic CMS based sites, online store/catalogue sites, and dynamic sites with features requiring custom scripting.
The Web Developer will work with our marketers, and our in-house graphic design team. Strong image editing and graphic design skills are not essential, however a general understanding of colour, style, visual consistency and clean user interface design will be expected.
Operating from our offices in Cork, this position will suit a commercially aware and creative thinker who is a team player capable of presenting to clients at the highest level.
You will require:
- 2 – 3 years experience OR a portfolio of high quality production websites.
- Proficiency with XHTML, JavaScript and CSS.
- Proficiency in at least one server side scripting language, e.g. PHP, Ruby, Perl
- Experience of any of the following will be an advantage: AJAX, Apache2, DBMS, DOM, Flash / AS CS3, JavaScript libraries (e.g JQuery, Dojo, ExtJS),
- Photoshop, web application frameworks (e.g. CodeIgniter, CakePHP, Rails),XML.
