Ireland’s only scare house experience comes to Cork
Cork Footballer Noel O’ Leary kidnapped by The Nightmare Realm
Alert! Alert! There has been an outbreak in Cork and the city has been put under disease control.
Things began to escalate out of control yesterday evening as mysterious footage of Cork Footballer Noel O’ Leary being kidnapped by goulish figures whilst working in woods went viral on Youtube. Mr. O’ Leary, a tree surgeon by trade, was last seen running through the woods before being captured at chainsaw point by deranged clown and X. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
The city has been put under high alert as more and more of these strange looking creatures have been spotted terrorising the streets at dusk abducting anyone they see. It is believed that hostages are being held at what has become known as The Nightmare Realm, an eery looking house on Albert Quay.
The Nightmare Realm, a terrifying live walk through scare house experience, has just announced their impending arrival in Cork for the month of October. Located in Navigation House on Albert Quay “The Nightmare Realm” is an asylum of the damned. Having been infected by a terrible outbreak, what few survivors remain are the gruesome living dead.
Commenting on the attraction, co-creators Ken Tobin and Karl O Connor said, “We are really looking forward to scaring the people of Cork. If you see us out and about over the coming weeks, you better run and hide!
The Nightmare Realm is a professional scare house that we developed using elaborate and high-tech production equipment with movie-quality props, prosthetics and effects. The "Realm Team" is made up of talented designers, scenic artists, craftsmen, sound & lighting crews, and make-up artists who work hard to create gruesome and terrifying experience.”
The Nightmare Realm employs actors who are not only trained in the art of psychological scare tactics but transformed via the use of professional masks, costumes, makeup and prosthetics so that they become weird and manic characters, truly the stuff of nightmares!”
The Nightmare Realm was established in Tralee in 2009 and has attracted 12,000 visitors a year and this is the first time it has come to Cork. Each year the event has a new theme – in Tralee it will be “Hotel Del Diablo” while the new Cork Venue is themed “Disease Control”.
Not for the faint hearted, tickets will cost €12 for adults and €10 for students and are available to purchase from www.thenightmarerealm.ie for 16 year olds plus. The only question that remains is, is Cork afraid of the dark?
