Live music legends Aslan will return to The Castle Glanmire as part of a top line-up announced today for St Patrick’s weekend. The event, which runs from 15 March until 17 March will see the venue play host to a weekend of live music and family attractions.
Along with Aslan, hotly tipped acts from around the country (yet to be announced) will descend on Glanmire for the 3 days and entertainment for young and old will take place in the venue’s heated marquee.
SHARE (Students Harness Aid for the Relief of the Elderly), the organisation for the care of Cork’s elderly, has launched (Friday 14th December 2012) its traditional fast and fundraising campaign at the SHARE Crib, Daunt’s Square, Cork, (near Grand Parade), and have extended an invite to the people of Cork to visit them and share in their efforts. It is the 42nd year of the campaign in which 1,800 fourth and fifth-year students from 22 schools rally round to raise funds for SHARE. The campaign will be run in Cork city centre only until Christmas Eve, with SHARE Cribs also at shopping centres in the area.
